Wangaratta’s North Eastern Car Club, which celebrated its 60th anniversary earlier this year, recently made a donation to the annual Relay For Life event.
Although the club were not directly involved in the successful event, it made a $200 donation to “Keith Lipshut’s Mob”, one of the many teams that participated in the charity event that raises money for cancer research.
North Eastern Car Club president, Ray Wingrave, said that the club was thrilled to be contributing to such a worthy cause and a community-based event.
“Every one of us knows someone who has been affected by cancer in some way, and we felt that the donation was the least we could do for such a worthwhile cause,” Wingrave said.
Keith Lipshut’s Mob raised nearly $5000 for the Relay For Life cause this year, through the hard work and generosity of the team’s members and supporters.
