Over 125 vehicles were on display to the public at the North Eastern Car Club’s annual ‘Show Us Your Car’ night at Tarrawingee on Wednesday evening.
In what is rapidly turning into Wangaratta and district’s biggest car display, the line up included everything from a 1934 Buick 8/40 through to the latest model Ford Mustang.
A big array of Ford, Holden and Chrysler V8 muscle cars featured prominently, as did performance cars from a host of other manufacturers, including Mini, Datsun, Austin Healey, Lotus and Morgan.
A dozen classic motorcycles were also included in the display.
North Eastern Car Club spokesman, Jeff Whitten, said that the night was an overwhelming success.
“This is the fourth year that we have held the Show Us Your Car night, and it has been getting bigger and better every year,” he said.
“Last year we had around 80 vehicles, which surprised us a little. To have over 125 vehicles this year is incredible, and shows how many sports and classic vehicles there are in the Wangaratta area, and how keen people are to show them off to the public.”
Hundreds of spectators attended the event as well, getting a close look at their favourite vehicles and enjoying a BBQ and a cold drink as they did so.
